Big march to Notre Dame on April 18, 2021

Two years after the fire that destroyed the roof of the famous Parisian cathedral and shocked the world, a group of young lay Catholics is inviting everyone, both Catholics and non-Catholics, to participate in a big march to Notre Dame Cathedral, on Sunday, April 18, 2021.

The event will be an opportunity to show support for the beloved, wounded cathedral and to all those involved in its rebuilding, as well as a way, in the spirit of the recent pilgrimage of the M of Mary, to pay a fervent homage to the Mother of God, Patroness of France, while asking for her prayers for France and for the rest of the world.

The march will start at the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal, rue du Bac—around 1:30 pm—and end at the square in front of Notre Dame around 3:30 pm. There will then be a time for meditation and prayer outside the cathedral, led by Bishop Chauvet, Rector of the Cathedral.

In these difficult times, marked by so much suffering and uncertainty, Notre Dame Cathedral remains more than ever a place of gathering and a beacon of hope!
