Mary, the house where Christ espouses the Church

We read in Proverbs: " Wisdom has built her house; she has set up its seven pillars. She has prepared her meat and mixed her wine; she has also set her table." (Proverbs 9:1-2)

Mary is a creature, made by the Creator, by the creative Wisdom. She was sanctified by the Holy Spirit so she could carry the Word of God, who became incarnate through the same Holy Spirit.

The image of the house with the seven pillars evokes the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, a fullness of gifts. It was necessary to first build the house where the Word of God was to come down and be received as a guest.

This virginal house is supported by seven pillars, because the venerable Mother had received the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit.

This house with seven pillars is also a bridal chamber. Indeed, the Incarnation is the fulfillment of the Covenant between God and humanity, the wedding between Christ and his Church. Jesus is true man and true God. God brings his presence in a complete way. Mary is the bridal chamber, the place where the divine bridegroom meets humanity, to which he unites to himself.
