The power of the “Combat Rosary”

I started smoking cigarettes six years ago. For the past three years, I have smoked the equivalent of one pack a day. At the end of last year, I lost my 22-year-old little sister to an illness. I smoked a lot and compulsively during that time, up to 3 packs a day!

One month before my sister died, my mother came across an article about the Combat Rosary. When she told me about it, I was immediately attracted to the idea of having one. I was trying to detach myself from this addiction, without any success. The discovery of the Combat Rosary was really providential!

My parents decided to give me one. Since I wasn’t living in the same city as them, I received it in the mail. It was November. My spiritual father being away for two months, I had to wait until the end of January to get it blessed. He is a military chaplain, so it was important for me to have it blessed by him. After waiting almost three months, I finally could use it.

On a Monday evening, I prayed the Rosary in front of the Tabernacle with the instructions of the Combat Rosary to heal from an addiction. At two o'clock in the morning, I threw away my last pack of cigarettes, and never touched one again. I had no trouble quitting smoking: no disruption of sleep, no stress, and no depression. I was the first one to be surprised!

It's been a little over seven months since I got rid of this addiction and I feel like I have never smoked. I give thanks to the Blessed Virgin for interceding for me.
