October 15 – Our Lady of France

Prayer to Our Lady of France, Queen of Peace

O Mary, immaculate Virgin, holy Mother of God, exalted by the Lord as the queen of the Universe to be even more fully conformed to your Son, Lord of lords victorious over sin and death, we come to you with total confidence and filial affection.

We, and all the saints of our country, are delighted to call you Queen of France. We, for our part, want to renew the promises made by our ancestors when France was baptized in Reims. We wish, in our time, to renew the consecration of our people to God through the intercession of your Immaculate Heart.

By your example and with your assistance, we commit ourselves to follow Christ, your divine Son, in a truly evangelical life: through our worship and praise of God; our fidelity to the commandments of the Lord and the spirit of the Beatitudes; our personal and permanent conversion; and by helping those who are deprived of spiritual and material goods in a spirit of solidarity.

We want, O Queen of Peace, to listen to you, to spread mercy and peace in our families, at work, in our cities, in our society, and by doing so, "build the civilization of love."

Our Lady of France, Queen of Peace, intercede for us!
