November 13 – Our Lady of Nanteuil (France) - Beatification of Charles de Foucauld

"I had to make the journey from my head to my heart"

An adventure called the Great "M" of Mary (aime pronounced "M" in French means love) was a pilgrimage done on bicycle organized by two sisters called Isabelle and Marie, and their friend Xavier. The complete itinerary connected the different places where the Virgin Mary appeared on French soil, which together form the dots of a large M. For a whole month, starting on July 14, 2017, the national holiday, until August 15, 2017, the holiday of the feast of the Assumption, Isabelle, Marie, Xavier and many other young people, and even a bishop, traveled for a total of 1,429 miles, from Lourdes to La Salette.

Marie shared this reflection: "We learned to challenge ourselves, while being faithful to praying the Rosary. We arrived on August 14th at La Salette, after reciting it every day ... We want to keep this commitment and continue to pray it every day. It is such a learning process!"

Isabelle remembers: "We also learned that to get closer to Jesus, we have to go to the Virgin Mary first. Thanks to Saint Louis de Monfort’s book "The Secret of Mary," which I found at my grandparents’ two days before we left, by the time we all arrived at La Salette, we were fully aware of Mother Mary’s important role. ... It’s easier for me now to pray to Mary: I even find joy in praying the Rosary! It was a gift that the Virgin Mary gave me so that I could go to Jesus."
