May 22 – Our Lady of Graces (Brescia, Italy, 1526)

What it means to devote oneself to Mary

On the topic of the consecration to Mary, Saint Louis de Montfort, in his Treatise on True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, recommends "beginning, continuing and finishing all our actions through her, with her and for her, so as to do them through Jesus Christ, in Jesus Christ, with Jesus Christ and for Jesus Christ our last end” (#115). And a little further (#120), he says:

"Mary being the most conform to Jesus Christ of all creatures, it follows that of all the devotions, that which consecrates and most conforms a soul to Our Lord is the devotion to the Most Holy Virgin, his holy Mother, and that the more a soul will be consecrated to Mary, the more she will belong to Jesus Christ. That is why the perfect consecration to Jesus Christ is nothing but a perfect and complete consecration of oneself to the Most Holy Virgin, which is the devotion I teach. "

The purpose of the consecration to Our Lady is therefore to go to her Son. This is the teaching of Our Lady in Fatima. On June 13, 1917, she said to little Lucia: "My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God. "
