June 11 – The Holy Trinity – Our Lady of Miracles (Italy, 1427)

"If we pick a fruit, an orange for example ..."

In the spring of 1916, in Fatima, Portugal, the angel called for an intimate union with the Most Holy Trinity: "O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore you profoundly..."

Sister Lucy, one of the three seers of the Virgin of Fatima, made this remark:

"If we pick a fruit, an orange for example, we remove the skin, which we throw away, we separate the seeds to sow them, and we keep the pieces to eat them. So in a single unit - an orange - we have three distinct things that have different purposes ... Then why should we be astonished that in one God there are three distinct persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit?

The Scriptures evoke the mystery of the Most Holy Trinity, for example when Saint Luke alludes to the mystery of the Incarnation ... Replying to a question of Mary, the angel explained: The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will take you under his shadow. Therefore, the holy being that shall be born shall be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:35) "
