Devotion to the Two Hearts

The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are mentioned explicitely only briefly in the text of the New Testament. Nevertheless the many references to the love and compassion of Jesus and Mary, as well as implied references to their Hearts, provide a vivid revelation of the Two Hearts. "Come to me, all you who labor and are overburdened, and I give give you rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden light" (Mt 11: 28-30). "As for Mary, she treasured all these things and pondered them in her heart" (Lk 2:19). When we consecrate ourselves to the Two Hearts of Jesus and Mary we are offering to them all that we are and all that we do and all that we have - our thoughts, words, actions, joys and sufferings; our past, present and future; at every moment of our lives so that whether we work or eat or sleep or pray, all that we are and have and do is offered to their Hearts as a holocaust of pure love.
